Music Therapy

Using the power of music to make a difference.

“Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent” – Victor hugo

Neurologic Music Therapy

Neurologic Music Therapy or NMT is a type of music therapy that focuses on how music impacts the brain. Techniques were developed for each of the domains (speech, sensorimotor, cognitive, social emotional, and behavior) and are used to meet non-musical goals. Individual NMT sessions consist of an assessment period where each domain is assessed and goals are created. A treatment plan is then created and used for the specified period of time. FAQs

  • When you fill out the contact form you can book a free consultation to see if my services are what you are looking for. If they are and you’d like to move forward with booking sessions then a more detailed form will be sent for you to fill out. From there, I will perform an assessment over a 3 week period before writing up a treatment plan. The treatment plan will then be discussed and you can then ask any questions you have.

  • I do take ESA as payment.

  • Unfortunately I do not take insurance due to the fact that most insurances do not cover music therapy. I do not take DDD either. If you are unsure whether to continue forward with booking a session you can inquire about payment plans or a subscription plan that is affordable.

It takes a village to help grow and be the best versions of ourselves.

Community and Family

At Sonoran Harmony, we believe that individual therapy is not solely for the single person receiving services. Just as the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child,” Sonoran Harmony highly values the involvement of the parents and the other therapists on the child’s team in order to develop an environment that will help the child grow and flourish. Parents are most often busy and have a lot on their plate, however, if there is no communication involved along with lack of working on the skills learned in therapy, the child will not only develop at a slower pace but will not retain what was done in therapy which can be detrimental to the therapy plan created not only by one therapist but all therapists that work with the individual.
